Wilson Advantage
is it too light for me?
ok, I have a hypercarbon Wilson weighs 12.3 oz, so I was looking to pass the K factor six one team weighs 10.2 oz .. Now, is it too light for me?? I am 5 feet 7 inside and I weigh about 130 lbs. What are the benefits and disadvantages of a lighter racket??
Do you like your hypercarbon? This is probably the most important issue. If you do not think hypercarbon that is too heavy, then 10.2 ounces will be too heavy for you. You are certainly not too small for him. Believe me, who used a 12 oz racket when I only weighed approximately 100 lbs (middle). I have had no problem handling. Regarding the advantages of a lighter racket: Lighter rackets are more powerful, and are for people who can not create their own power. If you have a good shape with a fast swing, you do not need power coming from the racket. They generally have a large hitting area, so they will be more forgiving off-center hits. Again, if you are already fairly constant, then you do not need that. The advantages of a heavier racket: They enjoy a lot more control to the player who has not need the power coming from the racket. In the same spirit, they will have much more feeling than a light racquet. That said, I usually suggest that people like a heavy racquet because they feel they can manage. 2.1 oz is a lot of difference. You might not be able to control the ball with him. If you want to replace your current racket, I'd get another racket that's about 12 ounces Demo some see if it's worth you pass. Otherwise, you might want to look around some new or slightly used copies of your racket going, and keep using what you are already accustomed.
