In the new True Grit John Goodman was the former outlaw in the cabin?

After seeing the film, I mentioned the former outlawed in the new film True Grit was John Goodman. Seems most people disagree. Not find his name in the credits or on the web. Is John Goodman or at least do people think it looks less like him?

I have not seen the new version of True Grit, but I look on IMDB at casting for the new film and John Goodman is not mentioned at all.
