Crystal Side
What is the carrying capacity of the crystal value of an average?
I plan to purchase this crystal Digi-Key for a microcontroller project: http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&name=X1076-ND I'm not sure what the load capacity "(Stated on the website as 20pF Digi-Key) means, though. Does it represent value capacitors that are on each side of the crystal to GND? Thank you for your help!
There are two main types of crystals, parallel and series resonant capacitance value means that the crystal has a resonance parallel crystal that need a 20pF capacitor in shunt if it resonates at the frequency given, in general you should use a ceiling variable to adjust the frequency if necessary
